Caia Crafts is a social enterprise established in the woodwork department here at Caia Park Partnership. Through this enterprise local residents are receiving training whilst producing, marketing and selling a range of hand crafted products.
Our first product, the Garden Trug (pictured) is in full production. It is made from FSC timber and are available in either Oak, Ash, Alder or Douglas Fir wood. The cost of the trugs start at £9.99 depending on the type of wood you would prefer.
We will be asking a number of garden centres and shops to stock the trugs on an ongoing basis and we will be having stalls at farmers markets and craft fairs to sell the products
We are currently in the process of producing a classic cheeseboard along with traditional Welsh cheese from Snowdonia and the next product we will be looking at producing will be decorative jam boxes which can be converted to a bird box.
This is proving to be an exciting and rewarding project which owes its success to the hard work and dedication of staff, volunteers and students here at Caia Park Partnership.
