Capacity Building department.
The Capacity Building team are currently working with nearly 20 groups in
the Caia Park area, ranging from Family support, Youth Clubs, Tenants and
Residents Associations, Pantomime, Training, and Kids activities groups.
“To develop and support community based organisations that are able to
provide high quality and highly focused support to individuals and
communities experiencing or at risk of social exclusion”.
Its Objectives are:

Improving the
employability, skills and abilities of people whose circumstances or other
problems prevent them from easily accessing mainstream employment and
training, providing tailor-made opportunities and programmes of support.

Assisting excluded
individuals to participate and contribute to community and economic life

Promoting good
citizenship and healthy lifestyles as a means of overcoming barriers to
labour market participation

Providing
opportunities for personal development, formal and informal learning and
accreditation

Help people access
employment/self employment advice

Help people access
paid or unpaid work opportunities and to offer appropriate support to
ensure that they secure permanent employment.

People with basic skill needs

People who need help to develop
personal effectiveness to counter chronically low self-esteem and lack

People who have completed a custodial
sentence
