Factory Fitness Check
Caia
Park Healthy Living Project is a 5 year lottery funded initiative based on
the Caia Park Estate. It provides services which enable people to make
informed choices about their lifestyles and encourages them to live more
healthily. 
With
co-operation of the manager Mr Andy Wynne the Health Living Team visited
Sylvia Jeffery’s on Thursday 21st July to carry out health checks
on employees who wished to take advantage of this service. The manager
kindly agreed that the staff could take time away from their workstations to
have the following Health Checks.
Blood
Sugar
Blood Cholesterol
Body Fat
Percentage Height
Weight
BMI
Lung
Age Predictor
Smoking Cessation Information and aids to help people quit smoking
Support and Information on other services were also available
 A
Nurse Practitioner from Caia Park Health In-equalities Team was on hand to
do cholesterol and blood sugar testing.

Healthy Team is making this service available to all factories on the
estate. It is an alternative way for people to take responsibility for
their own health and for us to signpost them on to other services if
necessary. I would like to thank Mr Andy Wynne for having the foresight
allowing his staff to have time from work to undertake these health checks.
Obviously a healthy workforce will help to reduce sickness absence from the
workplace and this should benefit both the employer and employees."
