What is it?
The Stepping Stones Programme will provide you with new skills, increased confidence and improved motivation to help you gain employment or to move on to further education.
Stepping Stones is open to anyone who is not in employment and who is also in one or more of the following groups:
· Aged 16 - 24 and not in education, employment or training
· Over 50 years old
· A lone parent
· Anyone with a work limiting health condition and/or disability
· From a black or minority ethnic group
Stepping Stones provides free childcare for nursery age children.

How does it work?
Stepping Stones lasts for 16 weeks and during that time you will be employed by Caia Park Partnership for 35 hours a week at minimum wage.
Each participant on Stepping Stones will:
· Undertake accredited training on topics such as Health & Safety, First Aid at Work and ICT.
· Attend weekly sessions aimed at improving employability skills including job search, CV writing and confidence building.
· Attend training on a range of topics including Personal Presentation Skills, literacy and numeracy.
· Gain work experience by being employed in one of the following areas:
Administration Care Work
Catering Wood Manufacture
