Investors in People

Caia Park Partnership Ltd, one of the largest community development organisations in Wales, has become the only community development organisation to be recognised as an Investor in People, by showing excellence in its development.

Caia Park Partnership is a Registered Company limited by guarantee and a Registered Charity.

Operating in the geographical area covered by the Caia Park Community Council area, in the County Borough of Wrexham. The aim of Caia Park Partnership Ltd is to deliver a local needs led service to people in the Caia Park area of Wrexham.

Caia Park Partnership is a "People First" Organisation

Like other organisations with the Investors in People Standard, Caia Park Partnership Ltd is using it to increase the quality of services that it delivers and in this instance, the community it serves, by improving the performance of its people. Caia park Partnership Ltd is focusing in particular on achieving clear and consistent communication with staff, who are based in locations on and around the Caia Park estate, and often working in isolation. This means Caia Park Partnership consults its employees continually, helping create a real feeling of involvement and understanding of the company's mission, "People First".

The Investors in People Standard is not bestowed lightly and is the national Standard which sets out a level of good practice for training and development of people to achieve service goals. The Standard was developed during 1990.

What does the Standard mean to Caia Park

All organisations, whether involved in manufacturing, or supplying services to the community, need to keep their customers happy. In this instance, the community of Caia Park.
To keep its main focus Caia Park Partnership, as an organisation, must ensure that it is meeting the community needs successfully. To do this effectively they need their staff to do a good job and produce quality work. Caia Park Partnership recognises the importance of their people and the community it serves and this award will help them to develop their potential, improve their skills and gain greater satisfaction. Caia Park Partnership appreciates their people and value the contribution that they make to its future success. Also, ultimately, it will give a better customer focused service to the community and confidence in the organisation's ability to meet their needs.

Nigel Davies, Community Development Manager at Caia Park Partnership, said; "Our people now feel more part of the Caia Park Team especially since all our employees were consulted during the recognition process. With this recognition Caia Park Partnership Ltd follows it's vision clearly of a "People First Organisation".

It is an ongoing process, the standard is reviewed every three years to ensure that Investors in People is relevant, accessible and beneficial to the organisation.

The supply of services depends upon people. It is clear that the better the people, the better the organisation. Therefore, the most important investment any organisation makes is, in the people who work for it.

By working as an Investor in People, Caia Park Partnership Ltd will have a clear vision of where it is going in the future and how it's going to get there.
