Tracy receives her long earned qualification in Community Development
Tracy Prandle of Caia Park Partnership has received her HNC in Community
Development from Llandrillo College. Tracey has been studying for the last
two years towards the qualification which further compliments her work with
groups and associations carried out over the years as a Volunteer. Caia Park
Partnership and Llandrillo College have been working in partnership to
supply Higher Education qualifications in the community for a number of
years, which is now coming to fruition. Nigel Davies, Deputy Chief Officer
at Caia Park Partnership, who also lectures on the course said,” The course
embraced a number of aspects of community development such as; Understanding
Community, Networking and Partnerships, Social Policy and Politics, along
with the practical every day work in community” Nigel also said, “Tracy has
worked really hard to achieve this qualification which has given her a good
grounding in development work. Tracy has been employed by Caia Park
Partnership as a Capacity Builder, which will further reinforce her studies.
The future really looks bright for Tracy as this is her first step on the
Life Long Learning ladder. Tracy has a thirst for learning and is looking to
work towards her Degree and Masters in Community Development.
In the coming year others will also be graduating in community development
with the successful partnership continuing with Llandrillo College and
Bangor University. Caia Park Partnership will be offering the Foundation
Degree from October along with other training courses in community
development”.
